“The Dead & The Gone,” by Susan Beth Pfeffer

“The Dead & The Gone,” by Susan Beth Pfeffer is a stunning science fiction fantasy about the effects of a disastrous asteroid strike that jars the moon into a new orbit closer to earth.

When seventeen-year-old Alex Morales heard that an asteroid was predicted to strike the moon he didn't realize that it was the end of the world as he knew it. He thought that this was just another overplayed media event, or maybe just something interesting for the astronomers to study. Alex was more concerned about getting elected as senior class president at his exclusive New York City school.

i havenow read "life as we knew it" "the dead and gone" and "this world we live in" i read the books kinda backwards going #3, #1, and then #2, but they were still amazing books, and i am those kinda people who cant sit and just read a book unless it extreamly grabs my attention. these book open up your mind and thoughts to the posabilities of our world. now my step father is a suvivalist himself and believes in 2012 and yada yada yada, but i dont,,, but i do belive in the chanses for this happening. now sexilynn1888, you are not the only person out there who wonder and think about things like this, infact my friends, and teachers, and i have all conversed about things like this and these books in particlar. now noone can really say for sure what they would do if this were to happen because honestly weather you see it ornot there are different sucumstances everyday. but one thing you always need to do is, if you have siblings, older or younger, figure out away to get along cuz in the end no matter what your family is the only thing that counts,,, you might be think well my friends count,, yess they do, but not as much as you family, because when somthing tragic happens, friends change... i would sugest for you to really readd all 3 books, expeshialy "Life as We Knew It" :)
